Aloha from Honolulu, Hawaii - I <3 Simple Web Tools

Aloha folks,
Just wanted to do the introduction thing. I teach and am a student at the University of Hawaii. I am moving my classes online starting this summer which is going to be exciting for me. I want to use the most simple and current web tools (instead of school-centric or course-centric tools like webct, sakai or moodle) in order to keep the tools relevant for the web and the insides of organizations. Any commentary on those simple tools and success or challenges encountered I would very much appreciate.

All the best,
Jeff McNeill

Hi Jeff,

Last year I had my first experience as an online learner while taking my master's degree. Moodle was the LMS used but I think that what makes the difference is the pedagogical approach that is used. I think that Moodle has some limitations mainly in what concerns creating a social network but it worked as well, we just complemented it with other tools.

If you would like further information, please feel free to contact me at angelina.m.macedo@gmal.com

Yours,

Angelina
