Introduction

Hello everyone,

My name is Betul, and I am an assistant professor of educational technology from New York –soon to be an Arizonian, though. I was a long time user of Elgg/EduSpaces and after looking at some of the alternatives I’ve decided to use MyLearningSpace instead. I give numerous presentations and workshops on open social software -partly for scholarship and partly for teaching reasons, so I am glad I have found a new place. In my last presentation at the Capella Univ’s doctoral residency, I demonstrated this site and got very positive feedback –see Capella Learners’ Forum. Good to see others with similar interests here.

I am an assistant professor in instructional technology within the School of Education. I teach a required course on integrating technology into the curriculum for pre-service teachers. I use a MOODLE for my course management system, but I am considering other alternatives for next year, including Zoho, Manhattan, OfficeLive and Class Central. I would love to hear how you are using technology with your students.
