I am an information designer, working in the field of technical communications with over 25 years of experience in the production of cross-media, multilingual technical information products. I have expertise in single sourcing, component content management, collaborative authoring, and localization.

During my career I have worked with some of the best, cutting-edge hardware and software teams in the fields of medical robotics, pharmaceutical sciences, aerospace technology, virtual reality, and information processing & presentation; and was fortunate enough to help organize the Third World Wide Web Conference in Darmstadt (April 10-14 1995).

I am currently studying towards a Masters in Online and Distance Learning to fulfill my ambition to work in the field of ICT for Development.

The Virtual Laboratory Toolkit provides an extensive set of free person-to-person (P2P) communication tools (audio and video conference, scientific text chat, whiteboard, collaborative authorship, portal and mailing list management, etc.), and also basic advice on person-to-equipment (P2E) tools.
